Works displayed
The works shown in the gallery are either original creations by Bruno Leprêtre or art copies made after works in the public domain (whose authors have been deceased for more than 70 years), in accordance with French copyright legislation in force.
Each copy is executed according to principles inherited from museum tradition, which clearly distinguish art copy from forgery:
- The dimensions of the copy differ from those of the original work (at least one-fifth larger or smaller).
- The original master's signature is never reproduced; each canvas is signed by Bruno Leprêtre.
- The inscription "copy after [name of the original artist]" appears on the back of each canvas.
- Copies are intended for private use and family heirloom, never for misleading resale.
